Here is the quick way to disable Facebook Places from allowing others to tag your location without your authority. Just go to the Account Tab, given on the top of the page, and click on Privacy Settings.

Once you are in the Privacy Settings Section,

Click on the “Customize Settings”

Look for the area with title “Things other share”

Edit the menu of “Friends can check me into Places” and set it to disable
